I am on to the spam problem, I have been deleting over 40 messages a day, temporarily I have set the board limit to 1KB messages so you don't have to read the contents of the spam.
I have contacted the ISP's concerned in Germany and I am waiting for them to stop this person/s from sending out these messages.

Hello, I wonder if anyone could help me out with a question on value please? I only have some limited info at the moment, but my dad is looking to sell my grandfather's accordion.
It is a Ranco made in 1939 120 base and has 5 voice on it - this doesn't mean anything to me, so I hope its not gobbledegook! It has spent pretty much the last 30 years in its original case.
If you have any idea what something like this would be worth, or indeed if you would be interested in buying it - please would you email me at cm007y6987@blueyonder.co.uk.
Many thanks in advance - I really want to get them a good price, as I really didn't want them to sell it, I would love to keep it..but I have no idea of its value, if anything other than sentimental?
Kind regards
Catherine

Hi all. I own a piano accordion. It is a Scandalli. I don't know much about it. It is a pearly white. Could it be made from bake-lite? It is in good condition. There are numbers on the back. It says 659/26 made in Italy . It has 24 white keys .Four blue keys above them "Base"? on the other side it has 120 small black buttons. Then it has one small one under the strap.(also it has two other bigger ones)with the small one. Any help would be Great. Plus I am willing to sell it. Looking forward to hearing from you all. Thanks again Scott.. E-mail is nmsmtk01@juno.com

Whilst clearing out my Father-in-Law's loft, we descovered a Serenelli 'Concert Traveller', the case of which doubles as a table-type stand for the instrument to be played on.
Having spent some time searching the internet for more information on this instrument, I am still as lost as I was before! It seems that this is not a common instrument.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to learn more about this lovely thing, and also, might anyone here know if there are any specialist advertising sites, so that we can ensure that this instrument finds it's way to a new owner who will give it the love it deserves?!

Hi! I have a Petromilli Special accordion that I would like to find out a value for. It has a circle that says Albert Model w/ a crown. It is in beautiful condition except for the shoulder straps which are just a little "cracked" looking and the case is not good. All the notes play; however, a few stick a little. I am planning to sell it and would like to know a reasonable asking price if you can help me. Thank you for your time!

We just come upon a Crown Accordion but can't locate any information about it on the web. It has 6 rows of buttons, 24 keys and 2 buttons above the keys: one says 'bandon', the other 'violin'. It has a stamp on the back '151 Italy'.
We'd like to some literature - a manual/some history. Can anyone steer us in the right direction?

Our local hospice shop has been donated the following and we would appreciate any information on this as we have no idea of its worth.
It is a Delfini Piano Accordion which also has Loreto and Italia on. It has 34 keys and 12 x 4 buttons and appear to work well. It is in beautiful condition with no seeable damage, although the straps are a bit worn. The keys are mother of pearl appearance.
It comes in what appears to be its original carry case which has the handle broken and the lid is damaged on one side.
Many thanks.

I came across this website whilst searching for accordianists on the internet. I wonder if you could pass this information on to anybody you know who might be interested and ask them to contact me directly?
Quarantine are widely recognised as one of the UK’s most innovative theatre companies. We are urgently looking for a male accordianist who is over 65 years old and who would be interested in taking part in a unique performance project.
They need to be available from 21 April – 22 June (or start as soon as possible). Rehearsals take place Monday to Friday, 10.30am - 5pm.
They should be based in or around Greater Manchester - or able to travel.
A weekly fee will be paid.
We are looking for a male musician aged over 65 to take part in Quarantine’s next piece, Old people, children and animals. The performance will investigate responsibility, exploring our relationships and feelings about what we are responsible for. Rehearsals will take place at Contact Theatre in Manchester, with performances there and at Tramway in Glasgow.
For more information visit our website, www.qtine.com, or e-mail me directly: richard@qtine.com
Many thanks

I have a Hohner verdi IV accordion which belonged to my late father. He was born in 1926 and learned to play at the age of 9-10yrs. I am sure that it would be second-hand when he obtained it. Therefore I assume that it is 1920-1930's. Is there any way I can date it more accurately from any markings etc on the instrument.
It has been well used, travelled round the world and even saw action in World War II on a mine-sweeper (as photos show). Therefore it is not in the best of condition, with one white key raised up but the bellows are intact and it plays. It is still in the original case, which is in pretty poor condition. However I would be interested in any information and to know if it is of any value at all.
I have some sheet music dating from 1910, with some printed on 'war issue' paper. I wonder if these would be of interest to collectors.
any advice would be appeciated. I can send photos.

Accordion enthusiasts thinking of travelling to France/Paris this year may seek info about such entertainment at www.camrecon.demon.co.uk/holidaysinfrance.
If you go please feed back any happy experiences. recently a reader from Malta enjoyed a trip to Paris as a result.
The info supplied will lead you to find lots of French music, but if staying in UK try Trevani who has a good selection.

Dear sir i have found in a skip what i think is a accordian although alot smaller then most i have seen.It is white in colour with lace behind the grill at the front it has 16 buttons and 12 keys The markings on it read pancotti macerata vickers italia. It plays a sort of a tune and seems to be all there but is very grubby i have two others that play perfect. This one squeeks in a few places.Could you give me any information as to how old it might be and if it would be worth restoring.I HAVE A SON OF 6 and wondered if it would be ok for him to learn to play on as it is so small

I have a Product of Sonola, Rivoli Deluxe, serial 7214. White pearl color. 120 bass keys, 24 white, 17 black treble keys which are all even. Other keys include Musette, piccolo, clarinet, oboe, organ and bassoon. Bellows in excellent condition, clean, no rips or tears. Black leather and velvet straps in nearly new condidtion. Original cloth? and leather edged case, lined with blue velvet, pristine on the inside, though stained on the outside. All locks work, no rust, etc.
This used to belong to my aunt- she played it in the 1950's. I am interested in selling the instrument; it's SO heavy that I thought I would first try to sell locally (Colorado, USA). But I don't want to get jipped! If anyone could give me some more information regarding the age of the accordion, and an approximate price range I would be very grateful.

Hi,
I have 2 Shand Morino's 1 Standard Size Red, was my fathers and a small Black one, no bass couplers which I play.
I never play the red one, which is in near perfect condition, {probably needs a tune up} so believe should be played by someone who appreciates these great button boxes. Sensible offers ~ £3000 would secure.
Regards
Jimmy Rae

Hello,
I have a Camerano "Johnny" accordion circa 1950's, in near mint condition. I was interested in selling it, and found a very similar instrument on Ebay for $800 USD, but would certainly be interested in negotiating a price.
The instrument is in perfect condition aside from some of the stitching coming loose on the strap. It sounds beautiful and plays easily. The accordion is partially black and partially mother of pearl. Its case is also in very god condition.
If interested, please write me an email. Pictures are available upon request.
Thanks!
